Description
After Winter Tour and Spring Tour, we are ready for Summer Tour.

Summer Tour is the continuation of the seasonal cycle, which is developed on the twelve intervals that divide the octave. Each cycle includes three movements and each movement is named after one of the months within the season. Summer Tour features the following movements:

I. July: March & Beat (Jumping on the perfect Fifth)

II. August Sunsets (Minor Sixth)

III. September in Swing (Major Sixth)

The first movement, "July: March & Beat," is an introductory march characterized by the perfect fifth interval. Joking and brilliant, it alternates purely rhythmic moments, typical of the march, with others of a more intense and melodic breath. Nostalgia and a pervasive melancholy are the basis of the second movement, "August Sunsets." The alto saxophone as a solo instrument and the emotional intensity of the minor sixth interval, intimately depict the numerous colors of August sunsets. The last movement is joyful: "September in Swing." September is the month of change, of new beginnings, of renewed energy. The atmosphere of celebration, the dance, and the positive attitude are emphasized in this movement through the strength of the major sixth interval.

In each movement, in addition to the technical study related to the characterizing interval, the composer gradually adds features that determine the overall musical language: rhythmic diversity, exercises in articulation and phrasing, as well as the particular context related to the month, which facilitates unique expressive qualities.
