Andrea Mastroeni

Born in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (Messina) in 1986, he began studying music at 9 year of age at the music courses organized by the U.P.C.F. in San Filippo del Mela (Messina). After completing high school, he graduated with a degree in trombone from the Conservatory of Music “L. Campiani” in Mantua, before obtaining a masters in trombone performance under the guidance of Gianluca Scipioni at the Istituto Musicale “A. Peri” in Reggio Emilia. Thereafter, he studied Wind Orchestra Conducting with Giuliano Moser and in 2011, he attended the three-year-course for Wind Orchestra Instrumentation at the Conservatory of Music “F. A. Bonporti” in Trent. In 2014, he won the Second Prize (First not assigned) in the A category at the Fifth Composition Contes for Wind Band of Sinnai (Cagliari) with the piece “Grow Up!” Currently, he teaches brass instruments and chamber music at the School of Music “D. Fantini” in Gonzaga (Mantova), conducts the wind bands Associazione Musicale “Banda di Gonzaga” and “Junior Band” of Gonzaga, and collaborates as a performer with various symphonic orchestras, wind band orchestras, and big bands in Northern Italy.
