RADETZKY MARSCH
Work of Johann Strauss father, it was composed in honor of Marshal Josef Radetzky to celebrate the Austrian reconquest of Milan after the revolutionary uprisings in Italy of 1848. It is said that Strauss, very late in delivering the work, wrote the march in just two hours.
