Description
This composition revives, almost as if stepping back in time, the ancient myths and legends of Greek mythology. The piece is divided into three sections: the first describes the domain of the god Kronos, in particular the episode where he eats the heads of his children for fear that they can oust him. Energy and rhythmic power, enriched with a tonal palette full of chromatic contrasts and contrapuntal plays, are the main features of this part. From this very energetic section, we move to the completely new atmosphere of the second part, which portrays the god Kronos reigning on the Island of the Blessed where live not only the heroes, but also the souls of the righteous people. The fluid and relaxed harmonies and melodies that describe the magical island are musically opposed to the majestic figure of this mighty Greek god. The third and final part takes us directly to the ferocious battles between Zeus and Kronos, presenting again the rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic elements of the first section, but with an even more intense energy. A composition full of charm and tension with a great sound impact.
